The young South Korean baritone Leo Hyunho Kim received his Bachelor’s degree at Kyungpook University in Daegu, South Korea. Since 2014 Mr. KIM has been living and working in Vienna, Austria where he studied master degree (opera, song, and oratorio) and Postgraduate degree at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna by Prof. KS. Krassimira Stoyanova, Prof. Claudia Visca, Prof. Markus Hadulla Prof. Peter Marschik and Prof Beverly Blankenship. Furthermore, he has participated in masterclass given by Leo Nucci, Krassimira Stoyanova and Anton Scharinger. In 2014, he received an 3.Prize at the “International Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition” in Karlovy Vary, Czech republic. In Summer 2018, he was a Scholar of "Mozart Residency - Académie du Festival d’Aix-en-provence. During his “International Otto Edelmann Singing Competition” in Vienna in 2019, he was awarded the First Prize as well as the WCN-Special Prize. Furthermore, he was the Finalist of Virginia Zeani International Competition and Daegu International Opera Awards in 2019. Also Mr. Kim was the Finalist of the the “Montserrat Caballé Singing Contest 2021” in Barcelona, Spain and “XI International Competition for Opera Singers Città di Pienza 2021” in Pienza, Italy. Mr. Kim’s Credits include the title role in Eugene Onegin, Musiklehrer(Ariadne Auf Naxos), Schaunard (La Bohème), Counte Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Silvio (I Pagliacci), Publio (La clemenza di Tito), Marco (Gianni Schicchi) Morales (Carmen).

He will make his debut as Escamillo (Carmen) at State Theatre Plovdiv in 2022/2023
